Handmade textile pieces that respect the time of craftsmanship and the identity of the territory.

Terra.Cotta Handmade® is a Portuguese brand that combines two centuries-old traditions, the Carpets of Arraiolos and the Tiles of Lisbon, in an exercise of cultural and aesthetic updating through contemporary design.

The pieces are designed in Lisbon and hand-embroidered in Arraiolos, by local rug makers, using pure Portuguese wool. Wallpaper, cushions and decorative paintings inspired by the centuries-old patterns of the Lisbon Tiles, with possibility of dimension customization, color and pattern. All pieces are produced to order, respecting the time involved in artisanal work and avoiding waste.

Specialty – Creation of handcrafted textile pieces inspired by the Lisbon Tiles, using the traditional technique of Arraiolos Carpets, focusing on contemporary design, manual production and appreciation of Portuguese cultural heritage.

Raw materials used – Pure Portuguese wool and jute. Materials are selected for their quality, durability and suitability for the artisanal technique used.

Finishes – Manual finishing, carried out with attention to detail and respect for traditional technique. All parts are individually inspected before delivery to the customer, ensuring quality, coherence and rigor in the final result.
