Wewood goes from family joinery to contemporary design

A Portuguese story spanning six decades, where the artisanal knowledge of wood is renewed through design, innovation and local production.

Wewood's history began in 1964, when two brothers created a small carpentry workshop in the North of Portugal. The project evolved into Móveis Carlos Alfredo, a family factory dedicated to solid wood furniture, who knew how to modernize production without losing the artisanal knowledge transmitted between generations.

Em 2012, the second generation of the family launched Wewood – Portuguese Joinery, affirming a new vision for this heritage. The brand combines the experience of Portuguese master carpenters with the work of national and international designers, creating contemporary furniture, durable and produced in Portugal. Today, maintains commitment to local production, responsibly sourced wood and a way of doing things where tradition, innovation and attention to detail go hand in hand.
