Castelbel
Castelbel, perfumed luxury with a Portuguese signature
More than two decades ago, Castelbel has established itself as a reference in perfumery and luxury body care, taking with them Portuguese identity and know-how to the world.
Founded in the year 2000, in Castêlo da Maia, the brand was born from a challenge launched to Aquiles Barros, then professor of Chemistry at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. The objective was clear: create high quality scented soaps for an international brand. What started with a small team of six people and focused production, quickly evolved into a solid project, which today employs around 200 collaborators, 90% of which women.
Castelbel is a company 100% Portuguese, that combines local production with a global vision. Each product is the result of a careful and collaborative process, from conception in the internal design studio to manual finishing carried out by artisans, ensuring authenticity, detail and quality in each piece.
Inspired by Portuguese culture, Castelbel translates iconic elements of the country into fragrances and collections, from tiles to Port Wine, from sardines to the heart of Viana, products tell stories and evoke memories. At the moment, the brand is present in more than 60 countries, affirming Portuguese identity across borders.
