Introduction:
Enjoy products from Portuguese Brands and Artists and live in a better World.
Not current world, We constantly look for new ways to improve our quality of life and contribute to a better world. Products, purposeful pieces and art invite us on a journey of discovery and experience that today, necessarily, it has to connect us to a more sustainable lifestyle, authentic and rewarding where quality is no longer enough. Lisbon by Design transports us to a universe that needs much appreciation, and that's why we decided to write this article that introduces two interesting interviews we carried out with the authors of the Lisbon Design Week events, side by side by Lisbon by Design, and we already anticipate success for you.
Valuing talent and tradition:
Portuguese industry has been known for its exceptional quality, although with advances and setbacks led by conjunctures and fashions, result of centuries of experience, skill and tradition passed down from generation to generation, which has managed to maintain. By supporting and preferring it we are valuing talent and Portuguese entrepreneurial work, to encourage the preservation of artisanal and industrial traditions and techniques. Each Portuguese product reflects the care and dedication put into each creation, making them truly distinctive works of art, that invite us to enjoy authentic and enriching experiences.
Sustainability and social responsibility:
We dare to say that today the industry, o design, Portuguese artists and creativity already have a strong commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. There are government aspects to improve, of course, but there is a sense of commitment to minimizing environmental impact, that joins the movement and adopts sustainable production practices, that in many cases it was only necessary to value and encourage it so that it can be valued. The industry has never stopped using local and renewable raw materials, thus maintaining a place of progress, we dare to affirm, and widespread promotion of nature preservation. Furthermore, social responsibility initiatives to support local communities increase (many have existed for a long time), with the aim of ensuring fairer working conditions, and contribute to relevant social causes, that these have lived in great tribulation.
Uniqueness and enrichment:
In Portugal, it is easy to create an invitation to an authentic and enriching experience as it exists in a profane form., just bring them up, afloat in the water. Each product, every song, every artist, each territory tells a unique story, rooted in Portuguese traditions and culture, and the path to its exploration is fully receptive. Be an award-winning mobile, a handmade covering or a more artistic piece, each one transports us to the richness of Portuguese heritage. By integrating these products into our lives, we are connecting to a valuable cultural heritage and enriching everyday experiences that are sought after worldwide today.
Boost the local economy:
When choosing Portuguese Brands, we support the local economy and contribute to the country’s sustainable growth. By supporting these brands, we create jobs, we strengthen communities and promote the development of national productive sectors to be more prosperous. Furthermore, preference for local products reduces dependence on imports, and strengthens the country's economic independence.
Provide life experiences in a better world with the enjoyment of industrialized products, handicrafts and arts produced in Portuguese territory, It is a reality that is important to value. The talent, the tradition, sustainability and national social responsibility increase the appetite for authentic and enriching products, that here it is possible to grow, since the country maintains a layer of authenticity that, which was once a problem and today appears to be an opportunity.
Lisbon by Design e lisbon design Week:
We think it was this reality that attracted entrepreneurs and friends Julie and Michelle, authors and promoters of 5 days dedicated to crafts, until, Portuguese design and industry, and we were not mistaken. Because the events industry also plays a leading role today in promoting and supporting the local economy., we were curious to know why two friends of Belgian origin, decided to come together to give greater public expression to what is produced in Portugal, in the field of art and design, and joined together to continue the 3rd edition of the Fair Lisbon by Design and in collaboration, launch Lisbon Design Week.
We wanted to know more about how Portugal captivated them, what drives them to maintain and assemble these 2 parallel events, and as much as possible find out more about what’s behind the curtain, If we weren't obsessed with knowing everything about everything that is done well and why. We therefore decided to request an Interview from each of these two friends and transcribe it in full, and that the agency Apartamento.com kindly expedited.
Before "hop” for the words of both, know that the Lisbon by Design it's at Lisbon Design Week have their own websites.
