Oeiras Ceramic Art 2023 – a new event dedicated to Ceramics.
And the 13 and 14 October that Portugal will host the first edition of “Oeiras Ceramic Art”.
This new event will promote a cycle of Workshops, Masterclasses and Talks and it is with great satisfaction that Portugal Faz Bem joins in promoting and supporting Oeiras Ceramic Art 2023. In October, Portugal will host the first edition of “Oeiras Ceramic Art”, an innovative and exciting cultural event that aims to promote and disseminate the contemporary artistic and ceramic universe.
Lenna Walkyria and Cátia Fernandes are producing a unique event – Oeiras Ceramic Art in partnership with the Oeiras City Council, which will bring together diverse artistic talents in an exhibition of works produced in ceramics as a form of contemporary expression, using porcelain, sandstone, traditional clay, alternative burning, glazes, oxides, between others. Over two days there will be a huge exchange of knowledge, art sales and important active networking, among all participants!
Lenna Walkyria is a businesswoman, advertising, journalist and artist connected to art for more than 25 years, with projects dedicated to oil on canvas, contemporary porcelain painting and training within the segment, having already participated in several exhibitions in Brazil.
Cátia Fernandes is also a businesswoman, founder of Ceramista Shop with stores in Oeiras, Lisbon and Porto. He is also a ceramic artist with a vast expertise and experience in the ceramic art segment.
Oeiras Ceramic Art will have free entry and will take place on 13 and 14 October of 2023, in the historic Municipal Market of Oeiras, located in the district and metropolitan area of Lisbon. In addition to the artists who will be exhibiting and selling their respective works, the event will promote Workshops, Talks and Masterclasses with varied themes, with a view to promoting connections and different artistic experiences linked to the world of ceramics.
With this diverse program, The event aims to bring together national and international audiences, which includes artists, sector professionals, business promoters, gallerists, suppliers, architects, designers and everyone else interested in art.
The exhibition will be the heart of “Oeiras Ceramic Art”, but participants will have the opportunity to live an enriching and engaging experience in the world of ceramic art.

- Explore the Exhibition Since the cultural exhibition will be the epicenter of the dynamic, visitors will be able to enjoy an exciting and diverse exhibition of ceramic art, in which works by talented national and international artists are presented. This two-day exhibition will allow participants to delve into the creative universe of ceramics, and discover a variety of styles, techniques and themes covered by the artists.
- Participate in Workshops No “Oeiras Ceramic Art” you can access a series of workshops led by renowned ceramicists and experts. Participants will have the unique opportunity to learn ceramic techniques and practices, hone your artistic skills or expand your knowledge, under the guidance of experienced professionals.
- Watch Masterclasses As Masterclasses do “Oeiras Ceramic Art” will be another parallel event. Conducted by master ceramists who will share experiences, stories and insights in the field of ceramics, these special sessions will provide an update, and are therefore aimed at professionals in the sector, therefore being guided by the best in the sector.
- Talks and Lectures The discussion panels, lectures and round tables on relevant topics in the world of ceramics and art, will also be present. The Talks will bring together professionals, experts and thinkers, with the aim of providing a space for debates and conversations about trends, innovations, social questions, and also about the role of ceramics in contemporary times.
- Networking and Interaction In events of this type, networking and interaction between peers and new stakeholders always presents an excellent opportunity for the public to interact. The event activities will offer moments to exchange ideas,and will be an incentive for new collaborations and creative partnerships, within the artistic and ceramic community.
To guarantee you that the dynamics exposed will be of quality, rich and immersive, to 1º edition of Oeiras Ceramic Art will feature the participation of artists and guests carefully selected through an organizing committee, with representation in ceramic institutions/universities with international expression and representatives of Portugal at the International Ceramic Academy. The event also has important ambassadors already confirmed for the Exhibition. Are they: Alberto Bustos, Fernando Sarmento, Heitor Figueiredo, Helena Brízido, Israel Kislanksy, Linda Bloomfield e Yola Vale.
With registrations already closed and completed, participants will be able to count on sharing valuable expository content to appreciate and learn, that will lead them to connect with the universe of ceramics, in order to broaden your understanding of this ancient and contemporary art form.
