At a time when rethinking the way we produce and consumed became essential, projects that look at the resources available with creativity and awareness are emerging. One such example is Criatura, a portuguese brand that transforms agricultural surpluses into biological tisanas and prepared for cocktails.
The project was born in 2022 by the hands of Diana Rego, who grew up on a farm in the municipality of Penafiel, in the north of the country. This early contact with Earth shaped its relationship with nature and fed a passion for sustainability from an early age, Conservation and Environmental Education.
With time, Diana realized the difficulties that small producers face to drain quality products-often certified as biological-but not entering commercial circuits because they do not obey the calls “standards”: small fruit, imperfect, or surplus harvests that are eventually wasted.
It was from this realization that the creature was born. More than a brand, It is a project with purpose: support small Portuguese farmers and create a more conscious alternative, sustainable and circular.
Creature Collects surplus from small agricultural productions, from north to south of the country, and transforms them into aromatic and creative mixtures. The raw material-composed of fruits, edible flowers and aromatic plants 100% Biological - is carefully selected, always respecting seasonality and local origin.
The result is tisanas with surprising compositions and poetic names, and prepared for cocktails that combine pleasure and ecological awareness. The flavors range from delicate and floral notes to intense and invigorating combinations - a sensory palette that arouses the senses and honors the best that the earth has to offer.
