The Portuguese brand Maami Home, headquartered in Porto and belonging to the TCC Whitestone group, puts national design back on the international map by winning three awards at the Archiproducts Design Awards 2025, one of the most prestigious distinctions in the sector globally.
The pieces Shoji, by designer Fábio Teixeira and Bind, by Adonis Envagelista, were awarded for their aesthetic quality, functional innovation and commitment to sustainability, values that reflect the essence of contemporary Portuguese design.
The lamp Shoji, winner in the category Lighting, is inspired by Japanese simplicity, combines a marble base Kunis Brescia polished, with a Japanese rice paper screen (washi paper) that diffuses light in a soft and enveloping way. The result is a silent, sculptural presence, capable of transforming the environment through the subtlety of light and texture.

Already the Bind, awarded in categories Bathroom , Sustainability, is a proposal that reflects the brand’s broader vision: that design can be simultaneously aesthetic, functional and responsible. This modular washbasin made of Stonesis, (a composite developed by TCC Whitestone with stone waste) It is an intelligent and reconfigurable piece. Precision-cut stone blocks fit together without visible fasteners, allowing multiple layouts, maintaining a sculptural silhouette. Resulting in a sink that is easy to transport and whose texture adds sophisticated minimalism to bathrooms of all sizes.
