XI Urban Rehabilitation Week: Towards More Sustainable and Innovative Cities

 

XI Urban Rehabilitation Week already taking place in Lisbon, from 9, 10 and even 11 of April, and constitutes the main national event dedicated to Housing, Construction and Sustainability. For three days, the program includes a series of conferences, debates, legal workshops and seminars, involving more than 100 speakers distributed across two stages.

Organized by Vida Imobiliária, in collaboration with Lisbon City Council and Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, LISBON URBAN REHABILITATION WEEK promises to be a unique learning opportunity, networking and debate on crucial topics for sustainable urban development.

Here we present 5 highlighted topics for this edition:

1. Urban Sustainability in Focus: During Urban Rehabilitation Week, sustainability will be a central theme. From adopting environmentally friendly building practices to planning green spaces and promoting sustainable urban mobility, participants will have the opportunity to explore how cities can become more sustainable and resilient.

2. Rehabilitation of Cultural Heritage: The preservation and rehabilitation of cultural heritage plays a vital role in urban revitalization. O Inova(RE) is a renovated and expanded space dedicated to innovation, talent and digitalization. In this environment, disruptive products and solutions that impact the real estate and construction sector will be presented. This initiative, led by Ricardo Luz, businessman and investor, aims to promote connections between startups, entrepreneurs and investors, offering a conducive environment for knowledge exchange and networking.

YOUNG ARCHITECTS AWARD

It will also highlight the III edition of the YOUNG ARCHITECTS AWARD, an initiative co-organized by Vida Imobiliária in partnership with architects Marco Roque Antunes, Paulo Serôdio and Paulo Durão. This award aims to recognize and promote the work developed by a new generation of Portuguese architects, highlighting the best architectural projects designed by professionals under 40 years.

The Young Architects Award jury will select three finalists, highlighting emerging talents on the national scene, and a winner will be announced during LISBON URBAN REHABILITATION WEEK.
