1. Don't Let the Devil Weave Them! The Tapestry in Dialogue from the Millennium bcp collection

In a collaboration between Lisboa Cultura and the Millennium bcp Foundation, this exhibition arrives that promises a journey through Portuguese tapestry. Curated by Rita Maia Gomes, the exhibition houses 86 works of 27 artists and more 50 documents in an unprecedented display, that highlights reference figures, institutions and events that marked the history of Portuguese tapestry from 1946. Highlight for the Millenium bcp Collection, which has a remarkable set of tapestries produced by Portalegre Tapestry Manufacture and a work by Guilherme Camarinha, unique piece of 1961, which has been recently cleaned and restored.

2.More than Houses | How will we live in April 2074?

FAUP in partnership with MUDE, presents the exhibition More than Houses | How will we live in April 1974, which takes place as part of the celebrations of 50 years of the April revolution 1974. This exhibition is a contribution to the theme of habitat and new demands, with critical reflection and proposals on the contemporary challenges of housing and public space.

3. RETURN to Vasco Araújo

Galeria Francisco Fino in Lisbon hosts the exhibition Ritornare by Vasco Araújo. Through sculpture works, video, installation and photography, the artist refers to the past as a mat to think about the present, combined with transformation and freedom. Ritornare calls for reflection on the issues of identity revisiting and reinvention.

4. 175 years of tiles in Viúva Lamego. A perspective of the present, a vision of the future

To celebrate the 175 years of ceramic production by Viúva Lamego, the tile museum hosts the exhibition “A perspective of the present, a vision of the future”. A reflection on work processes and articulation between artists, architects and designers, presenting a selection of works created for the occasion by more than 17 artists.

5. X LISBOUS 2024

Prata Riverside Village hosts the 10th edition of PARTI-cipation, a collective exhibition of 25 artists who will “occupy the city” with different forms of art. From Installations, sculpture and painting in a variety of materials such as wood, the glass, o metal, paper and natural and recyclable materials that reflect the perspective of artistic sustainability in this project.

6. Sword Gallery

De la Espada opens a new gallery 16 October, which will host a dynamic program of temporary exhibitions showcasing the best of design and craftsmanship. The first showing, “Dialogues: Plant Based Design, illustrates the power of collaboration with products that represent conversations between the past and present, materials and shapes, usefulness and beauty.

7. New Wewood store in Lisbon

Two years after the opening of the first store in Porto, to Wewood opens doors in Lisbon. This prestigious Portuguese furniture brand dedicates its new store to excellent national design. Very close to Avenida da Liberdade, the store with 200 square meters, displays the entire Wewood collection, but also some international lighting pieces, ceramics, textiles, tapestry, between others.
