There's still time to vote and support the best of artisanal Portuguese know-how

The National Craftsmanship Award distinguishes the best of Portuguese arts and crafts, crossing tradition, innovation and identity. Until 11 January, Anyone can vote online and support projects, artisans and entities that keep alive national know-how.

The National Artesana Award
to (PNA) is a biannual initiative promoted by IEFP – Institute of Employment and Professional Training, within the scope of the Arts and Crafts Promotion Program, with the aim of valuing Portuguese artisanal production, both in its traditional and contemporary aspects.

This award is today one of the most important institutional distinctions in the artisanal sector in Portugal. It recognizes not only life paths dedicated to crafts, as well as new creative approaches, innovative business models and cultural promotion initiatives that give a future to ancestral practices.

The editing of 2025 integrates six categories

Once again, This edition reflects the diversity, the quality and vitality of Portuguese crafts, from north to south of the country.

Grand Prix Career: award that recognizes a trajectory and a consolidated work in traditional crafts or contemporary crafts;

Entrepreneurship and Innovation Award: is intended to distinguish quality projects and actions in traditional crafts or contemporary crafts, both in terms of launching innovative products, both communication and marketing, distribution and marketing;

Young Talents Award: prize designed to reward the work of young artisans who distinguish themselves in both traditional and contemporary crafts, highlighting the intrinsic quality of your work, and the capacity for initiative, recognizing the ability to bring innovative solutions to the sector in any of the areas related to the same – product, communication and marketing, distribution and marketing, etc.;

Research Award: aims to distinguish research work on topics related to Portuguese arts and crafts, that allow for better and more qualified knowledge of productions, of its identity value and its potential, thus contributing to greater social recognition and the promotion of these activities.

Promotion Award for Private Entities and Promotion Award for Public Entities: awards that recognize the work of private or public entities or organizations in favor of arts and crafts, translated into projects, programs, valorization and promotion campaigns or initiatives whose implementation is ongoing or has ended, no maximum, nos 2 years prior to the competition.

Voting is open to the public and allows one vote per category. Voting is more than choosing a finalist: is recognizing the value of manual work, support the creative economy and give visibility to those who continue to do well, with time, knowledge and purpose.

Voting takes place online, no site do IEFP, and is open until 11 January.
